The Rotary Club of Fort St. John
Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.
This year we are hosting our fifth annual Mother’s Day Rotary Run and Walk, or as we have come to refer to it, the Rotary MDRR. This is a community event and fundraiser to promote healthy family activity, while raising awareness for Rotary. In our fourth year, the MDRR attracted more than 500 participants who completed a 5km run & walk, a 10km run, plus many more who ran in the 1km kid’s dash. There will be prizes, food and refreshments. The run and walk will be followed by a pancake breakfast hosted by The Rotary Club of Fort St. John, where the participants and their families can enjoy the food, the awards ceremony, and the fun!
As the event takes place on Mother’s Day, we have chosen the Fort St. John Women’s Resource Society to receive $2 from every entry, as well as the net proceeds from the event.
